1. Nature of Our Services

The Import Export Code (IEC) is officially issued by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), Government of India.

Our service fees cover consultation, documentation assistance, application preparation, and submission support, and are separate from any government charges.


2. Government Fees

Any government fees paid to the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) or other government authorities are strictly non-refundable once submitted, regardless of the outcome of the application.


3. Service Fees

This Refund Policy applies only to the professional service fees charged by https://india-iec.org/ for consultancy and assistance.


4. Service Commencement

After payment is received, the following process occurs:

(a) Confirmation Request

We send a confirmation message (via email, WhatsApp, phone call, or other communication) requesting verification of your details and approval to proceed with the IEC application process.

(b) Service Start

The service is considered officially commenced once:

  • You confirm to proceed with the process, or

  • You submit required documents for processing.

After service commencement, work such as document verification, expert consultation, and application preparation begins.


5. Pre-Service Cancellation (Full Refund Eligibility)

You may request a full refund of our service fees if:

  • The service has not yet commenced, and

  • No documentation work or consultation has started.

If no confirmation or refund request is received within 7 days of payment, the refund window may automatically close.


6. Refund Eligibility After Service Commencement

Once the service has started, refunds may only be considered under the following conditions:

(a) Major Service Failure

If there is a verifiable and significant failure in the service provided by our team, such as:

  • Failure to initiate the application process after receiving all required documents.

  • Failure to communicate or manage the process within a reasonable timeframe.

(b) Failure to Initiate Service

If we fail to initiate the service within 15 working days after confirmation, due to internal issues, you may be eligible for a full refund of service fees.


7. Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will not be issued under the following circumstances:

(a) Change of Mind

If you decide not to continue after confirming the service.

(b) Work Already Completed

If the IEC application has been prepared, submitted, or the IEC details have already been shared.

(c) Client-Side Delay

If delays occur due to:

  • Failure to provide required documents

  • Failure to provide OTP verification

  • Incomplete or incorrect information

(d) Government Portal Issues

We are not responsible for delays, technical problems, or rejections caused by the **Directorate General of Foreign Trade portal, government policy changes, or third-party systems.

(e) Application Rejection by Government Authority

Refunds will not be issued if an IEC application is rejected by the government authority due to document issues, compliance requirements, or policy regulations.

(f) Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays caused by events beyond our control including:

  • Government restrictions

  • Natural disasters

  • System outages

  • Internet disruptions


8. Correction of Clerical Errors

If any minor clerical errors occur (such as spelling mistakes or typographical errors), we will correct them at no additional cost. Such corrections do not qualify for a refund.


9. Discretionary Partial Refund

In exceptional cases, https://india-iec.org/ may offer a partial refund (up to 20%) as a goodwill gesture at its sole discretion. This is not guaranteed and will depend on the specific circumstances.


10. Refund Processing

If a refund request is approved:

  • Refunds will be processed within 15 business days.

  • Confirmation of the refund will be sent via email.
